Ronald Fowlkes is a highly experienced, highly skilled and multi-talented security professional with over 13 years’ experience in law enforcement. He served as a US Marine for 4 years, from 1989 to 1993. During this time, he attended many tactical courses, both basic and advanced. And In recognition of his outstanding performance and unwavering commitment and dedication to duty, he was promoted twice during this time. Ronald is also a veteran of the First Gulf War.
While serving with the Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) he was selected severally due to his skills and leadership qualities to conduct small unit parachute operations including very successful reconnaissance and air and naval gunfire missions.
He was later employed as a Contractor in the Department of Defense where he worked with the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) in Baghdad, Iraq under the United States Army. While there, his responsibilities included the following:
* Combat zone Infantry operations.
* Tactical operations training for personnel of the U.S. Military
* Hostage rescue
* Post-blast evidence collection and analysis
* Tactical interrogation of captured individuals.
For 10 years, Ronald served with the Metropolitan Police Department of St. Louis. Three of these years were spent with the St. Louis County Police while he worked for 7 years with the St. Louis Metropolitans HRT Squad. In 2003 he was given the responsibility of being a team leader and shortly thereafter became a certified instructor in various combat maneuvers like SWAT or URBAN warfare tactics, defensive tactics, tactical rifle and shoot house.
The duties of the highly effective HRT included managing very difficult and often protracted hostage situations, barricaded incidents as well as “high-risk entries” which essentially were more than 250 cases per year. Secondary areas of focus were self-instigated investigations into gang-related violence as well as general gang activities.
The team also targeted illegal gun possession and illegal trafficking in narcotics especially in the most violent and vulnerable neighborhoods and communities. The unit was also responsible for managing civil disobedience situations and was also the official Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Response Team, monitoring, assessing and neutralizing all cases potentially involving the use of WMD.
Presently, Ronald works with Eagles Industries Unlimited as the Business Development Manager specializing in Law Enforcement and Commercial products. He is responsible for calling on customers nationwide, keeping them abreast of latest commercial products of the company as well as ensuring that they are informed about recent security developments impacting the company’s businesses. His duties also include selection of products to be considered by the company’s management for further development or upgrade and also products to be considered for special sales drive.
In addition to the foregoing, he is also in charge of product training for more than 150 sales personnel of the company.
